2005-2006 LGC Fantasy Hockey Leagues

OK, Yahoo is now set up so that we can sign-up.

Here are the settings I am picking for all leagues:

Autopick Draft
All managers will have the opportunity to go in and rank all of the players in the order that they would like them. Yahoo also has a pre-ranked set so if someone doesn't rank their players or just wants the default, Yahoo will automatically do that. Also, you do not have to rank every single player in the NHL, once you are done with the ones you care about, Yahoo can rank the rest automatically.

Maximum Teams in league: 12

No maximum player acquisitions

No maximum trades

Managers have 2 days to protest trades

Last date to trade a player is March 9, 2006

Players are on waivers for 2 days

They do have a new option on player trades. It used to be that just the commisioner could veto a trade. I am going with the new option which is League Votes- When you select the League Votes option, accepted trades can be overturned by a vote of at least 1/3 of the members of your league. All league member votes, including the one cast by the commissioner, count equally. Even if no protests are made, the trade will not be processed until the time allotted to protest pending trades in your league has elapsed.

After the draft, all unclaimed players will follow waiver rules so that everyone has an opportunity to try and pick them up.

For Rotisserie and Fantasy Point leagues, the maximum gamers played per position is 82

Roster Changes are allowed daily.

Goals are worth 2 points
Assists are worth 1 point
Plus/Minus is worth Â½ point
Penalty Minutes are worth Â¼ point (positive)
Power Play Points are worth 1 point
Short Handed Points are worth 2 points
Game Winning Goals are worth 1 point

Goalies:
Wins are worth 2 points
Saves are worth Â¼ point
Shutouts are worth 4 points

Also, all stats, points, positions, etc. can be changed before the season starts if the majority would like it a different way.
